wow I haven't done something so complicated in what, 2-3 years? and its not even the most complicated picture there could be yep my insane laziness has been revealed
also I have no idea how to properly celshade celshading and me have got a long story of hate throughout the almost 5 years that I've been drawing |D
lost count of the time spent, started somewhere in the middle of december done on sai and photoshop with a tablet
I think this is a gorgeous piece, I've always been a big fan of your art! The colours you've used for the background go so well together, it creates this harmonious sort of feeling. The flowiness of Erivel's blindfold makes the picture look even more elegant, you've done an amazing job! The anatomy on the legs is also great.
The only issues I can see is the perspective/foreshortening, I know Erivel is slim but her back goes way too slim too fast, as if someone has taken a slice out of her back. Though, shortening her neck may fix this, practicing perspective will help.
Overall, a brilliant artwork that you should be incredibly proud of! Keep up the good work!
It is beautiful, I mean it is so pretty, but the tail is really long and stringy, that may have been what you meant for, but also the neck is super long, and the body gets longer and skinnier. The clouds are beautiful, the shading is amazing, the cloth is a very lovely tough to it. The snout is the perfect size, the paws are size, and the shadow is very nice, it all comes together very nicely to be truthful.
I think the hind legs could go further out toward the stomach area, but the muscle is a nice size.
The picture itself is amazing, colors are mesmerizing and the idea... Love it! <3 And to top it all, the title is perfect. Honestly, it was the title that caught my attention first.
ahah thank you so much! ;u; <3 I kind of cheated there by taking the title "The Difference Between Wind And Rain" from the amazing post rock band, Beware of Safety. teehee.
Ooh, I love pieces with backlit lighting and you did pretty well with it. I would suggest, though, darkening the shading underneath the paws, especially the back ones, because they kind of look like they're floating right now. Again, fantastic background.
